Assignment Details

Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking to engage with a Consultant System Test Engineer.
Key responsibilities:
1. Test Planning: Develop test plans and strategies for motor management relay system testing based on project requirements, standards, and specifications.
2. Test Execution: Conduct functional, performance, and reliability testing of motor management relay systems. This includes testing various features such as protection settings, communication protocols, control logic, fault detection, and response mechanisms.
3. Test Setup: Configure and set up test environments, including motor control panels, simulated motor loads, test instruments, and communication networks, to simulate real-world operating conditions.
4.Test Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed test procedures, test cases, test scripts, and test reports. Document test results, observations, and any deviations from expected behavior.
5. Troubleshooting: Investigate and troubleshoot any issues or anomalies encountered during testing. Collaborate with engineers and developers to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
6. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure effective coordination and communication throughout the testing process.

Skills Required

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in electrical system design, MCC panel engineering, and PLC programming.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, MCC panels, and PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic).
- Proficiency in PLC programming software and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Communication protocol – Modbus serial, RS 485, MBTCP, Profibus, Profinet and Ethernet IP
PLC Knowledge -Control Expert, Machine Expert, Siemens TIA portal.
- Electrical Knowledge – Relays, Motor Management relays, Protection relays , Switchgear, IO module etc.
