Assignment Details

Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking to engage with a Consultant Software Verification Tester. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing the reliability and performance of EcoStruxure Control Expert, with a specific focus on safety functionality and safety controllers. This role involves ensuring the quality of the Control Expert software aligning with customer needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans for M580 Safety Controller firmware.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to ensure firmware quality.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate testing tools.
  • Review test cases and provide feedback to improve test coverage and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present test reports and metrics to stakeholders.

 

Duration - 6 months

Capacity- Full time

Location- OnSite in Avinya Campus - Bangalore

Skills Required

-Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics/Instrumentation/Industrial Automation Engineering.
-Proven experience in firmware/Software testing.
-Experience in process domains such as cement, steel, power, and pharmaceuticals, with hands-on installation and commissioning experience.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in the process automation industry.
-Strong understanding of M580 Safety / M580 Standard Controllers and their applications.
-Familiarity with testing methodologies and tools (e.g., automated testing, scripting).
-Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 26262) is a plus.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
