Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Specialist with expertise in the sourcing and procurement of agro specialty chemicals. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of chemical procurement processes, a strong network of suppliers, and hands-on experience managing the acquisition of chemicals such as Difluorochloromethane, Hydroxyl Amine Sulphate, Tri Fluoro Ethyl Acetate, 2,4 Dichlorobenzaldehyde, Thiourea, and other agro-related chemicals. This role requires someone who can manage the full lifecycle of procurement while ensuring product quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop a reliable network of suppliers for agro specialty chemicals. Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value.
Procurement Execution: Oversee the procurement of specialty chemicals, ensuring that the right quantities are purchased and delivered on time. This includes managing orders for chemicals such as Difluorochloromethane, Hydroxyl Amine Sulphate, Tri Fluoro Ethyl Acetate, 2,4 Dichlorobenzaldehyde, Thiourea, etc.
Market Research: Stay informed about the latest trends, pricing, and regulations within the agrochemical market. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and products that can improve cost efficiency and quality.
Cost Management: Monitor procurement costs and ensure that purchasing is done within the allocated budget while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all chemicals procured are in compliance with local, national, and international regulatory standards. Manage documentation related to product specifications, certifications, safety data, and compliance reports.
Inventory Management: Work closely with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure that the chemicals are stored, handled, and distributed efficiently while maintaining the proper stock levels.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality control teams to understand chemical requirements and ensure the procurement process aligns with production schedules and quality standards.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and quality issues.

Skills Required

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management would be a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in the procurement of agro specialty chemicals, including but not limited to Difluorochloromethane, Hydroxyl Amine Sulphate, Tri Fluoro Ethyl Acetate, 2,4 Dichlorobenzaldehyde, Thiourea, or similar chemicals.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of chemical properties, sourcing, and regulatory requirements specific to agrochemical products.
Negotiation Skills: Proven track record in negotiating with global suppliers and achieving cost-effective agreements without compromising on quality.
Project Management: Ability to handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and meeting business needs.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and maintain relationships with international suppliers.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to address procurement challenges efficiently.
