Assignment Details

Our Client a multinational strategy and management consulting firm is looking to engage with a Procurement Specialist having experience with chemicals and solvents for a project.

 

Key Responsibilities
-Procurement Management: Procure chemicals and solvents such as caustic soda, acetonitrile, toluene, and others at the best possible cost and quality.
-Supplier Relationship: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain and effective negotiations.
-Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, assess supply chain risks, and implement strategies to control costs and mitigate risks.
-Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
-Demand and Inventory Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams for accurate demand forecasting and effective inventory management.

 

Note-

Duration: 6 months (extendable)

Location: Remote- With travel to site locations in India

Capacity: Part Time

Skills Required

  • Proven experience in chemical procurement, particularly with solvents like caustic potash lye, caustic soda, acetonitrile, and toluene.
  • Strong knowledge of market dynamics, supplier networks, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to chemical procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build strong supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in demand forecasting and inventory management processes.
