Assignment Details

Our client, an Indian multinational conglomerate renowned for its operations in infrastructure, is seeking a Consultant: Strategic Sourcing & Costing Lead – Solar & e-BoP.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Develop cost models and conduct price benchmarking for modules, inverters, trackers, and BoS.
  • Track commodity price fluctuations and assess their impact on procurement costs.
  • Negotiate pricing, structure LTAs, and secure volume discounts with suppliers.
  • Identify sourcing opportunities to reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Ensure compliance with policies, duties, and trade regulations affecting solar procurement.
  • Manage supplier contracts, warranties, and service agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize procurement strategies.

Skills Required

  • B.Tech/B.E. (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering); MBA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of solar components, cost modeling, and vendor negotiations.
  • Experience with ALMM, BCD, GST, ISTS waivers, and PLI schemes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Ariba, and procurement analytics tools.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
