Assignment Details

We are looking for a passionate, hands-on professional to support and scale rural producer enterprises by building strong market linkages, enabling value chain development, and strengthening business operations. You’ll work directly with grassroots women-led producer companies, helping them access better markets — both domestic and export-oriented — and improve incomes through enterprise growth.

You will engage with a wide variety of commodities, including but not limited to:

  • Cereals & Pulses: Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Masoor, Toor, Bengal Gram, Kodo, Kutki, Sanwa, Alsi
  • Oilseeds & Oils: Mustard, Soyabean, Mentha Oil, Mustard Oil, Soyabean Oil
  • Value-added Products: Kodo Rice, Kutki Rice, Soya Powder, Mustard Cake

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage domestic market linkages across primary and processed agri-products
  • Explore and support export opportunities, including buyer identification, documentation, logistics, and certifications (e.g., FSSAI, APEDA)
  • Support enterprise capacity in packaging, labeling, pricing, branding, and product development
  • Facilitate buyer-seller meets, trade fair participation, and exposure visits
  • Coordinate with stakeholders including NGOs, CSR partners, and government schemes (e.g., SFAC, NABARD)
  • Maintain documentation, MIS, and feedback systems for sales and customer relations

    Location:

Field-based (Rural) – Preferably in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, or Rajasthan

Skills Required

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Agribusiness, Rural Management, Development Studies, or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience in working with FPOs, SHGs, or Producer Enterprises
  • Proven ability to work in rural or semi-rural field conditions
  • Experience in domestic marketing of agri or value-added products is required
  • Knowledge of export markets and documentation is a strong advantage
  • Familiarity with agri-logistics, ecommerce, rural supply chains, and certifications
  • Strong communication skills; ability to bridge grassroots producers and market players
  • Candidates from or currently based in Maharashtra, UP, MP, Chhattisgarh, or Rajasthan are highly preferred
  • Proficiency in local language(s) is an advantage
