Assignment Details

Our Client, a management consulting firm seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional with expertise in creating and optimizing Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in demand planning, supply planning, and developing comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs). This role requires a confident, client-facing leader who can independently drive discussions and deliver impactful solutions for manufacturing companies, preferably within the chemical sector.

Need an expert who can work out of Pune (4-6 months timeline) along with clients to help them in preparing BRD (business requirement document) for supply chain/S&OP sub domains (supply, demand, logistics, plant scheduling, RM ). This person will work to help client run new S&OP process (already defined) and help them integrate with IT vendor as well. Expert should be able to lead in client meetings, able to present synthesis and problem solve as well
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive S&OP process development discussions with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Create detailed and structured process documents, including BRDs for demand planning, supply planning, and related functions.
  • Analyze business needs to design tailored S&OP frameworks that optimize supply chain efficiency and operational performance.
  • Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to capture client requirements and document process improvements.
  • Provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations for demand-supply alignment and resource optimization.
  • Ensure best practices are followed in the development and execution of S&OP strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, sales, and finance.

 

Skills Required

Key Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on S&OP development.
  • Proven experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably within the chemical industry.
  • Strong expertise in demand planning, supply planning, and inventory management processes.
  • Hands-on experience in drafting Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for S&OP processes.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills; ability to lead conversations with senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to problem-solve and present data-driven solutions.
  • Familiarity with supply chain software and tools (preferred but not mandatory).
