Assignment Details

Our client, a leading global management consulting firm, is looking to engage with a Senior Advisor: MedTech.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with promoter family & board to identify and advise on current product whitespaces and entry into medtech market
• Evaluate inorganic acquisition targets [technical and product advisory]
• Advise on facility setup (machining, certifications etc), acquiring innovative products at pre-commercial stage, and reverse-engg existing products
• Build key connects & relationships particularly with hospitals, govt., distributors, and global players for licensing partnerships

I. Strategic Leadership:
• Provide overall strategic direction on:
- Current whitespaces in market
- Plant setup, eqpt selection and certification support
- Identifying top talent for core team(esp. R&D talent for pdt portfolio)
- Opportunity identification for innovative products/ value-engg prods
- Work closely with the promoter family & board

II. Business Dev & Customer Connects:
• Initiate conversations with key stakeholders to enter marquee contracts across hospitals, govt. depts, distributors
• Identify and connect with global players looking for regional partners to build India
presence via a licensing partnership
• Strategic oversight & advisory on Business development across customers to foster long-term relationships

III. Acquisition Support:

• Evaluate technical aspects (product portfolio strength, team capability, client portfolio etc.) of acquisition targets
• Bring credibility to ensure clients are retained post-acquisition

Skills Required

- Retired/Current Senior Leaders in the EMS Industry (includes former CEOs, CBOs, MDs, Chairman from Global or Indian Defense Tier 1s/ OEMs / DPSUs)
- Strong Defense background preferred
- Min. 20-25+ years of experience
