Our client, a top tier management consulting firm, is looking to engage with a Senior Advisor -Trade Generics Business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: Head the Trade Generics business, developing and executing the overall strategy for market entry and business growth in the pharmaceutical industry.
2. Business Development: Drive the organic buildout of the client's vision for Trade Generics, providing key inputs on leadership team formation, portfolio finalization, and business strategy focusing on market penetration, sales channels, and pricing.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Report and work closely with the promoter family and board to ensure alignment on business goals and strategies.
4. Market Entry Strategy: Provide overall strategic direction for molecule and SKU launch finalization, initial licensing, regulatory compliance, and execution plans for successful business entry.
5. Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain strategy, including procurement decisions, CDMO partnerships, and end-to-end supply chain management.
6. Sales and Marketing Advisory: Offer strategic oversight on value propositions, differentiation strategies, and sales action plans. Guide sales leadership on territory mapping, channel segmentation, and stockiest/CNF agent identification.
7. Team Building: Identify and recruit top talent to build a strong founding leadership team. Provide mentorship and leadership to ensure effective onboarding and team development.
8. Growth Strategy: Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implementation plans for scale-up. Advise on revenue growth, profitability strategies, geographic expansion, and team build-out.
9. Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with CDMO and CMO partners, ensuring long-term collaborations. Advise on vendor relationships, logistics setup, inventory planning, and cost optimization.
This is a 12-month project requiring the consultant to work part-time at 20 hours per week in a hybrid setting.
Key Skills Required:
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in Trade Generics, with a proven track record in procurement, sales, and marketing strategies.
- Leadership: Retired or current senior leaders (e.g., former CEOs, BU Heads, MDs, VPs) with extensive experience in Trade Generics divisions or pharmaceutical companies.
- Skills: Strong strategic thinking, excellent communication, and negotiation skills. Proven ability to build and lead teams effectively.
- Education: Relevant degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA preferred
