Assignment Details
Our client, a leading global management consulting firm, is looking to engage with a Senior Advisor: Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with promoter family to advise on entry into EMS vertical within a) PCB assembly (PCBA) & b) Aerospace & Defense (A&D) box build;
- Build key customer connects & relationships particularly in the Aerospace & Defense electronics segment;
- Guide in PCBA & Box Build Facility Setup (incl. Machining Setup, Certifications etc.)
- Evaluate inorganic acquisition targets (technical & commercial advisory)
I. Business Entry & Plant Setup:
- Provide overall strategic direction on:
• Vendor Selection for Plant Design
• Equipment Selection for SMT line / box build lab
• Acquiring certifications
• Overall Roadmap & Execution plan
• Work closely with the promoter family & board for successful business entry
II. Business Development & Customer Connects:
- Initiate conversations with key OEMs/ tier1s for electronics supply (across Aerospace & Defense and Industrial segments)
- Strategic oversight & advisory on Business relationships across customers to foster long-term relationships
III. Acquisition Support:
• Evaluate technical aspects (product portfolio strength, team capability, client
portfolio etc.) for acquisition targets
• Bring credibility to ensure talent / customers are retained post-acquisition
IV. Build Strong founding leadership team:
- Help identify & bring talented personnel to build founding team

Location: Hybrid- Mumbai location, BKC office
Skills Required
- Retired/Current Senior Leaders in the EMS Industry (includes former CEOs, CBOs, MDs, Chairman from Global or Indian Defense Tier 1s/ OEMs / DPSUs)
- Strong Defense background preferred
- Min. 20-25+ years of experience
