Assignment Details

Our client, an American multinational consumer products company is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Key Account Manager to drive growth, strengthen client relationships, and execute data-driven strategies across diverse industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, marketing, P&L management, and digital transformation, leveraging their expertise to optimize key accounts, enhance customer engagement, and lead high-impact initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, negotiating contracts, and executing go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product, and finance) to develop and implement data-driven account strategies.
  • Manage P&L for assigned accounts, optimize pricing and profitability, and oversee trade and promotional budgets.
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns, loyalty programs, and digital initiatives to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor insights to refine business strategies.
  • Lead category and brand strategy execution for key accounts, ensuring seamless product placement, visibility, and engagement.
  • Drive operational excellence by streamlining processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.
  • Leverage CRM, analytics, and automation tools to enhance decision-making and optimize sales performance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop and execute joint business plans, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.

Skills Required

 

  • MBA/PGDM from a top-tier institute (XLRI, IIM, NIFT, or equivalent) or a strong business/technical background (B.Tech, BMS, etc.).
  • 4+ years of experience in key account management, sales, marketing, or business development in industries like FMCG, retail, e-commerce, IT, or international business.
  • Proven expertise in P&L management, growth strategies, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing, CRM tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple accounts with a strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
