The client is primarily focussed at building enabling ecosystems and channelling capital to create and nurture a sustainable and equitable society. The RfP is for Rapid Feasibility Assessment (Project Design) the "Climate Resilient Natural Farming/Agroecology" project. The Project aims to focus on transforming food systems in India to secure food for the growing population, reduce climate risks and greenhouse gas emissions, and preserve ecosystems.
The feasibility study will assess the project's potential overall benefits, trade-offs, and impacts, covering ecological, social, and economic aspects. It will analyze the capacities of relevant partners, potential risks, and mitigation measures, and propose a detailed cost and financing plan. The study will also explore synergies with other ongoing and planned interventions, ensuring the program's feasibility and alignment with national and international goals.
This RfP seeks consultants with expertise in natural farming, value chain promotion, institutional analysis, and environmental and social impact assessment. The study will involve field visits, stakeholder consultations, and workshops to develop a comprehensive program design, implementation plan, and monitoring framework.
They are seeking consultants with in depth experience and knowledge of organic production schemes, FAO Technical guidelines and accreditation of labels via GSSI.
Skills Required
Experience:
Proven experience in organic production schemes, with a deep understanding of sustainable agriculture practices.
Extensive knowledge of FAO Technical Guidelines and their application in various projects.
Experience with the GSSI accreditation process and familiarity with global sustainability standards.
