Assignment Details

Our client, a leading Beverage Industry company, is seeking an Independent Strategy Consultant to help define growth pathways (3-5-7 years roadmap). The role involves analyzing various growth hypotheses based on category and consumer trends, identifying whitespaces, and conducting rigorous assessments of value and profit pools while considering regulatory changes. The Consultant will assist in selecting strategic pathways based on "right to win" and "right to play" criteria, incorporating the organisation's internal frameworks where applicable.

Responsibilities:

Conduct analysis of different growth hypotheses, integrating insights from category and consumer trends, whitespaces, and regulatory landscapes.
Assess value and profit pools rigorously to identify strategic opportunities.
Develop a framework for evaluating "right to win" and "right to play" for identified growth pathways.
Define the requirements and strategies necessary to execute on chosen growth hypotheses.
Research and analyze industry best practices and examples relevant to the project scope.
Utilize organisation's internal language and frameworks for defining growth paths and strategies.

Duration: 8 to 12 weeks

Skills Required

- Proven experience in strategy consulting, preferably with a focus on the alcohol beverage industry.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics, including category trends, consumer behavior, and regulatory environments.
- Experience with portfolio strategy development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey findings and recommendations effectively.
- Capability to collaborate closely with regional teams and stakeholders to refine strategies based on feedback.

Qualifications:

- Background in boutique strategy firms or consulting experience with major consulting firms (e.g., Big 4/5).
- Demonstrated success in delivering strategic projects with tangible business outcomes.
