Assignment Details
Our Client, a Leading Global Specialist in Energy Management and Automation, is seeking a Value Stream Mapping Consultant with Six Sigma Black Belt certification to drive process excellence and operational efficiency across the organisation. This role will focus on analyzing end-to-end value streams, identifying waste, optimizing processes, and enabling cost, time, and quality improvements in alignment with business objectives. The consultant will lead improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Value Stream Mapping & Process Optimization:
Lead and facilitate Value Stream Mapping (VSM) workshops to analyze current processes, identify bottlenecks, and design future-state solutions.
Apply Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste, improve process efficiency, and enhance overall quality.
Partner with teams to implement changes identified through VSM analysis to optimize workflows and reduce cycle time.
Lean Six Sigma Initiatives:
Lead Lean Six Sigma projects, leveraging DMAIC methodologies to identify root causes and deliver sustainable solutions.
Drive process standardization, value creation, and cost savings through data-driven approaches.
Build a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring teams on Lean and Six Sigma principles.
Data Analysis & Performance Measurement:
Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, root causes, and areas of improvement.
Develop metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to track progress and measure the impact of process improvements.
Provide regular reports and presentations on project progress, value delivery, and outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation:
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align process improvements with strategic goals.
Facilitate VSM sessions, process workshops, and brainstorming sessions to engage teams and generate solutions.
Act as a change agent to gain buy-in, ensuring adoption and sustainability of process improvements.
Training & Mentoring:
Coach teams and individuals on Lean Six Sigma tools, methodologies, and value stream mapping techniques.
Support in building internal process improvement capabilities and fostering a continuous improvement mindset.
Skills Required
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business Management, or a related field.
Certifications:
Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (mandatory).
Additional Lean certifications or experience in Lean tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, SMED) preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or value stream mapping.
Demonstrated success in leading Lean Six Sigma projects and facilitating VSM workshops.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong expertise in Value Stream Mapping, Lean methodologies, and Six Sigma tools.
Proficient in statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and problem-solving tools.
Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to deliver measurable results in cost, quality, and process improvement.
