Assignment Details

Our client, a leading management consulting firm, is seeking an experienced full-time consultant to lead a critical initiative aimed at establishing and scaling sales and distribution operations across Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India. This role involves a hands-on approach to setting up local sales processes, onboarding distributors, and enhancing local sales capabilities, transforming the client's distribution network and sales effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Establish Sales and Distribution Operations:
-Develop and implement local sales processes, systems, and units in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
-Identify potential distributors and manage the onboarding process to expand the distribution network.

Training and Support:
-Provide comprehensive training to sales teams to improve performance and effectiveness.
-Offer ongoing support and guidance to ensure alignment with best practices and organizational goals.

Collaboration and Leadership:
-Work closely with local sales teams, marketing departments, and distributors to align strategies and optimize operations.
-Lead and manage smaller project teams as needed to drive successful implementation of sales and distribution strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:
-Engage with key stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates and insights on progress and challenges.
-Foster strong relationships with local teams and partners to facilitate smooth operations and achieve project goals.

Location: Ahmedabad (with weekly travel to base locations in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India)
Full-time onsite: 3 months and extendable

Skills Required

1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and distribution, preferably within the FMCG sector.
2. Proven track record of successfully establishing sales operations and distribution networks.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
4. Strong leadership abilities and a hands-on approach to managing and executing complex projects.
