Assignment Details

Our Client, a Multinational professional services network is in the process of setting up a Project Management Unit (PMU) and is seeking a Consultant for Project Management Unit- Clinical Microbiology & Molecular diagnostics.

 

  • Research & Development: Lead and contribute to research on infectious diseases, disease surveillance, and molecular diagnostics, ensuring alignment with national health priorities.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute frameworks, policies, and protocols to strengthen disease control and pandemic preparedness.
  • Project Implementation: Oversee the execution of research projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring & Evaluation: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track project progress, conduct risk assessments, and troubleshoot challenges to ensure smooth execution.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with government agencies, healthcare institutions, research bodies, and international partners to drive program objectives.
  • Capacity Building: Guide teams on best practices in clinical microbiology, molecular diagnostics, and infectious disease management.
  • Publication & Advocacy: Author research papers, whitepapers, and reports (minimum 10 published works in infectious disease research preferred).

 

Skills Required

  • Expertise in Clinical Microbiology & Molecular Diagnostics – Strong knowledge of infectious diseases, diagnostic methodologies, and disease surveillance systems.
  • Research & Scientific Writing – Proven ability to publish high-quality research papers (minimum 10) on infectious diseases and epidemiology.
  • Project Management & Strategy – Experience in leading large-scale public health or R&D projects, ensuring seamless execution and impact assessment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration – Ability to work with government agencies, research institutions, and international health organizations.
  • Data Analysis & Epidemiological Modeling – Proficiency in analyzing disease trends, utilizing bioinformatics tools, and interpreting public health data.
  • Regulatory & Policy Knowledge – Familiarity with public health policies, global disease surveillance frameworks, and compliance with health regulations.
