Assignment Details

Our client, a leading American Private Foundation, is looking to engage with an Infectious Diseases Expert.

The consultant will be required to deliver to the client on the following through the engagement:

Analysis of existing data from follow-up of patients with TB to provide insights on long-term outcomes like recurrence, post-TB treatment mortality, and their predictors).
Analysis of existing micronutrient status levels in a subset of the RATIONS population.
Analysis of immune function through existing RATIONS trial data collected on pre & post intervention IGRA (Immuno Gamma Ray Assay) status of participants
Analysis related to the BMI (Body Mass Index) thresholds that confer risk or protection against the development of active TB, the trajectories of weights among trial participants, and its relation to the COVID-19 pandemic from existing data
Additional analysis on existing data collected during RATIONS trial on dietary intake, body composition, and muscle strength in a sub-section of participants, patients, and household contacts.
Qualitative analysis of existing data collected on perceptions and perspectives of participants, community health workers, community leaders, program staff and the staff of the RATIONS trial on the intervention
Process documentation and ethical challenges in conducting the RATIONS trial to provide insights into future prevention trials in TB and nutrition.

Skills Required

Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, market research, and strategic planning.
Consultants with > 20 years of experience in public health and have experience with conducting large-scale trials in health & nutrition in low-income settings.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
