Assignment Details

Our Client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking for an Industrialization Project Leader who will be responsible to lead all industrialization aspects in the most complex projects. Key Responsibility Areas:-
1. Project Management: • Ascertain business and departmental requirements for the development of a project plan using Work Breakdown Structures. • Liaise with the Offer Strategy Committee to ensure integration of plan to overall project plan • Help establish and define best industrial/supply chain scenario before Do Gate. • Provide major input into the Do Gate report • In conjunction with Industrialisation Director and other managers, secure project schedules • Development of a cross functional project team • Manage industrialisation project schedule • Monitor and report project industrial KPI achievement and implement corrective/preventative action as needed • Perform risk analysis and ensure appropriate action plans are implemented to tackle issues appropriately. • Organise product final qualification with other stakeholders, and make sure necessary documentation is created to handover responsibility to production facilities
2. Managing Internal/External Supplier • Assist in the review of internal and external supplier technology capabilities • Understand requirements for process transfer • Liaise with R&D department to co-ordinate and project manage transfers
3. Health, Safety, Welfare and Environmental Management • Monitor consistency of design and environmental standards for tooling and equipments • Participate and support the RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances), REACH and Green Premium programs • Maintain safety and environmental standards by ensuring adherence to policy and procedures
4. Business Partnering • Identify gaps in specifications and offer alternatives to design, systems, targets or manufacturing approaches • Communicate and facilitate visits and assessments, problem resolution with production, suppliers, design, purchasing, costing and quality teams • Ensure sound understanding of the requirements and expectations of the PMP and SPS for Industrialisation success
5. Technical Advice and Support • Provide support to the engineering and production teams • Work closely with the Business Process Excellence, Product Engineering and Methods Engineering Teams regarding product and process requirements. NOTE: It is a hybrid project, 3 days/wk (either at office or factory, based on work demand)

Skills Required

Project Management Expertise: Proven skills in project planning, scheduling, and execution, with a strong ability to meet industrial KPIs and drive projects through all stages of the OCP process. Manufacturing and Industrialization Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain logistics, and product industrialization, ideally with knowledge of SPS Lean Manufacturing, PMP, or Six Sigma methodologies. Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to effectively coordinate with suppliers, R&D, production, quality, and purchasing teams to ensure cohesive project outcomes and successful product launches. Problem-solving and Risk Management: Skilled in performing risk analysis, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective/preventative actions for continuous project improvement. Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards: Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, with experience in programs like RoHS and REACH for compliance in manufacturing. Technical Advisory Skills: Capacity to provide technical support to various departments, offering insights on product and process requirements to support engineering and production teams effectively.
