Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking to engage with a EHS Consultant.
Job Description/ Key Responsibilities: -
- Create and implement project-specific safety plans, procedures, SWMS and protocols.
- Assist in verifying EHS compliance at customer project sites
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks associated with project activities, materials, and equipment.
- Implement corrective actions for identified EHS concerns
- Collaborate with frontline teams to promote EHS best practices
- Investigate and report all incidents, near misses, and accidents, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Increase safety observations and hazard reporting.
- Develop and implement waste management plans, including hazardous waste disposal.
- Provide EHS training and orientation to project personnel, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Participate in emergency response planning and execution, including fire evacuation, first aid, and spill response.
- Maintain accurate and up to date EHS records, including training records, incident reports, and safety inspections.
Skills Required
Skills required-
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience of hands-on experience or on-site working experience in EHS.
- The candidate shall have academic qualifications in BE /B Tech/ Diploma in Engineering from recognized institute.
- Full time Degree/ Diploma in occupational health and Safety or related field from Govt./ National recognized institute OR International certification, Like - NEBOSH IGC / Dip.
- Responsible for providing EHS advice and guidance to his Site Manager, Site Engineer, Contractors, their supervisors and all workers in the project.
