Assignment Details

Our Client, a Global Management Consulting Firm advising in Building, Buying & Selling Technology, is looking for a technical program manager for one of their clients in the manufacturing industry. You will work with the client's CIO and infrastructure leaders to help them manage the IT Infra projects with their vendor(s) with a focus on Security Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), and Operations Technology (OT). 

  • We are looking for someone who has recently moved into a managerial role, which means someone with 10+ years of experience.
  • Has experience working for manufacturing companies for IT infra-related services
  • Has worked for IT Service vendors OR has managed IT service vendors such as TCS, Wipro, HCL, etc.
  • Has worked for US companies

The charter of this role will include:-
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and 
managing specific IT infrastructure projects for a client in manufacturing 
domain. This role involves project planning, stakeholder communication, and 
risk management to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and 
meet the business's needs. The person will serve as a program manager for the 
client to manage the projects with the client’s vendor(s).

1. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendor(s), including 
contract negotiation, issue resolution, risk reporting and performance 
monitoring

2. Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans for IT 
infrastructure projects, including resources, timelines, and budget. 
Execute the project plan, ensuring that project milestones are achieved 
within the planned timelines.

3. Risk & Issue Management: Identify and manage potential risks and 
issues that could impact project success. Develop and implement 
mitigation strategies and escalate issues when necessary.

4. Escalation Management: Track escalations from the client and ability 
to resolve them within the agreed-upon timelines with the vendor

5. Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates on project 
progress to stakeholders and management. Document project processes 
and outcomes for future reference and learning

Skills Required

The ideal person should have the following:-

  • IT Infrastructure services knowledge
  • Knowledge/exposure to the manufacturing industry (preferred not 
    necessary)
  • Experience in Agile & Scrum methodologies along with IT project 
    management
  • Knowledge of Security Operations Center (SOC), Network Operations 
    Center (NOC), and Operations Technology (OT) Runbooks for reviewing 
    and identification of gaps
  • Understanding of security use cases and playbook development
  • Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, SIRP, and MITRE 
    framework
  • Deeper understanding to provide consulting on gap identification and 
    validation on implementation of NOC, SOC, and OT technologies in the 
    system
  • Knowledge of firewalls, SIEM (Security Information and Event 
    Management) tools, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), Vulnerability 
    management, and penetration testing
  • Knowledge of protocols, infrastructure management, and Monitoring 
    tools (such as LogicMonitor, ELK, Sentinel, etc.)
  • Understanding of OT environments, including SCADA systems, PLCs 
    (Programmable Logic Controllers), and industrial IoT
  • Knowledge of OT-specific standards and integration with IT
  • Knowledge of the following tools/technologies such as ClearPass, Zscaler,
    TrueFort, Proofpoint end-user awareness campaigns, Palo Alto Threat 
    Intelligence Manager (TIM), Disaster Recovery (DR), BT EPM, Secret 
    Server decom 
  • Knowledge of ITSM and ServiceNow
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, 
    cross-functional collaboration, presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with different leaders of the client
