Our client a leading hospital chain in India is looking to engage with a consultant that matches the below criteria:
Significantly contribute to establishing and maintaining a data protection culture and awareness
within the organization, through regular training, communication, and guidance. Develop and
deliver training programs for employees on data protection and privacy. Promote awareness of
data protection issues throughout the organization.
Work as a business partner for data protection compliance and best practices with all functional
and operational units, as well as external stakeholders, such as customers, vendors, regulators,
and auditors.
Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
Review and update these policies regularly to reflect changes in laws or regulations.
Manage data protection impact assessments, data breach notifications, data subject access
requests, and other data protection related processes, ensuring timely and effective responses
and resolutions.
Review and advise on data protection clauses in contracts, agreements, and consents, ensuring
alignment with data protection laws and regulations, as well as the organization’s data
protection policies and standards.
Monitor and audit the organization’s data processing activities, identifying and mitigating any
risks or gaps in compliance, and recommending improvements and corrective actions.
Manage and maintain the organization’s data protection register, data inventory, and data
retention schedule, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Manage, monitor and facilitate data principal’s rights including data principal’s requests
regarding access, correction, erasure and ensure timely responses. Ensure that processes for
handling data principal’s rights are efficient and effective.
Keep abreast of the latest developments and trends in data protection laws and regulations, as
well as industry best practices, and update the organization’s data protection policies and
standards accordingly.
Manage, Monitor and implement all technological interventions in coordination with
information technology team across all software operations in the organization ensuring
compliance to standards and best practices.
Act as the primary point of contact and liaison with data protection authorities, customers, and
other external parties on data protection matters, representing the organization’s interests and
ensuring its compliance.
Manage and lead the data protection team, ensuring adequate resources, skills, and
competencies are available and utilized effectively.
The project duration is 18 Months, Full-time capacity.
Skills Required
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate must have 8+ years of overall experience in data protection, privacy, or related
fields
- Must have a recognized certification or qualification in data protection, such as CIPP, CIPM,
CIPT, CDPO, or equivalent.
- Must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of data protection laws and regulations, such
as the DPDP, GDPR, and their implications and applications to the healthcare sector.
- Must have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
influence and persuade at all levels of the organization.
- Must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to
assess and mitigate risks and provide practical and effective solutions.
- Must have strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple
tasks and deadlines.
- Must have a high degree of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, with the ability to
handle sensitive and personal data with care and respect.
- Must have experienced a minimum of 3 data privacy audit cycles in the past.
