Assignment Details

Our client, a global leader in energy management and automation, is seeking a Senior API and Microservices Tester with a solid background in testing web services and microservices, as well as experience in automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and executing test cases, as well as ensuring the quality and functionality of APIs and web applications. The role will also require working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Test APIs and microservices to ensure quality and functionality.
Develop and execute test cases for RESTful web services and microservices.
Utilize tools like POSTMAN, SOAPUI, Rest Assured, or Rest Sharp for testing APIs.
Perform web application testing using tools like Selenium/WebDriverIO (or any other similar tool).
Focus on in-sprint automation within Agile methodology.
Validate content from XML and JSON schemas using scripts.
Test OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms.
Understand and apply test processes, including requirement analysis, test scenario design, and status reporting to stakeholders.
Work with Azure DevOps for test management and reporting.
Read and understand API documentation to ensure comprehensive testing.
Collaborate effectively with teams to ensure the highest quality of software.

Skills Required

Minimum of 4 years of experience in testing APIs and microservices.
Strong hands-on experience with POSTMAN, SOAPUI, Rest Assured, or Rest Sharp.
Proficiency in Selenium/WebDriverIO or other similar web application testing tools.
Experience with in-sprint automation in an Agile environment.
Knowledge of validating XML, JSON schemas using scripts.
Proficiency in testing OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms.
Solid understanding of the full test process: requirement analysis, test case creation, and reporting.
Experience working with Azure DevOps for test management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic understanding of Micro Front End Frameworks.
Basic knowledge of testing desktop applications.

Good to Have:
Experience with load and security testing.
Familiarity with Azure Services/Win Services.
Understanding of how software licenses work.
Knowledge of Cyber Security and Pen Testing.
Experience in automating desktop applications.
Familiarity with TestComplete software.
