Our Client, a Leading Global Specialist in Energy Management and Automation, is seeking an Independent Senior Power BI Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of complex business intelligence solutions using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, along with advanced technical skills in Power BI and related technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the development of large-scale Power BI projects, including data modeling, reporting, and visualization.
Design and implement complex data models, measures, and calculations.
Develop and maintain advanced data visualizations, including custom visuals and reports.
Create and publish interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI Service.
Implement security and access control measures for Power BI applications.
Perform performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging of Power BI reports and datasets.
Create custom Power Apps to streamline business workflows and address specific operational needs.
Integrate Power BI solutions with Microsoft and third-party applications to establish seamless data pipelines and strengthen data governance.
Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and architectures.
Stay up to date with new features and best practices in Power BI and related technologies.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and oversight.
Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop solutions.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards.
Skills Required
5+ years of experience in Power BI development, with a focus on complex and large-scale projects.
Advanced understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and business intelligence concepts.
Expert-level proficiency in DAX, M, and Power Query.
Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot data-related issues.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
Experience with Azure, SQL Server, and other Microsoft technologies.
Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data architecture.
Certification in Power BI or a related field.
Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems.
Familiarity with other BI tools and data technologies, such as Tableau, Informatica, and AWS Redshift.
