Assignment Details

Our leading Client is hiring for a Technical writer and illustrator, responsibilities including creating and maintaining hardware user manuals. Also includes providing support to global product development teams for the design and content of the technical documentation.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Conduct interviews with engineering and product management staff on a global basis to gather data for documentation.
2. Create a professional and comprehensive user manual through research of product design including physical details, specifications, engineering
development notes, drawings, and interviews with engineers.
3. Create line drawings for user manuals based on engineering drawings.
4. Manage the outsourcing for translation.
5. Perform production tasks for publication: submitting manuals for review, submitting part specifications, and reviewing print samples.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Skills Required

Skills Required:

- Strong technical writing skills, thorough knowledge of grammar, and editing experience.
- Illustration skills, specifically in creating line drawings, experience with illustration software
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Able to research hardware products and represent the customer in the creative phase of product development.
- Ability to determine and write for the appropriate audience, ranging from consumer to highly technical audiences.
- Knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker, CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, IsoDraw
