Our Client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking for a Consultant- Cisco Certified Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructures. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our network environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Cisco-based networks, including LAN, WAN, and WLAN systems.
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Monitor network performance and ensure high availability and redundancy in mission-critical systems.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues related to network connectivity, security, and performance.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of the network environment.
- Implement network security measures including VPNs, access control lists (ACLs), and firewalls.
- Perform network capacity planning, system design, and hardware optimization.
- Stay up to date with new Cisco products and technologies to recommend upgrades and improvements.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and other departments as needed.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, preferably in a Cisco environment.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls (Cisco ASA, Meraki, etc.).
- Cisco certification (CCNA, CCNP) or higher is required.
- Experience with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel).
- Proficiency with network monitoring tools and protocol analyzers such as Wireshark.
- In-depth understanding of TCP/IP, IP addressing, and subnetting.
- Experience with firewall administration and network security practices.
- Knowledge of network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
- Experience with Cisco ISE, Nexus devices, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Solid experience in implementing QoS, VoIP, and MPLS networks.
- Familiarity with cloud-based networking (Azure, AWS, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
