Our client, a leading global specialist in energy management and automation is looking to engage with a Consultant Product Owner with a deep understanding of Solar & Storage Energy Management and embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with inverters, batteries, PV panels, EV chargers, DC optimizers, smart panels, and home automation technologies. You will be responsible for guiding the development of energy management products, defining product roadmaps, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet market needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Roadmap: Define and prioritize the product roadmap for energy management systems that integrate solar, battery storage, EV charging, and smart home technologies, aligning with company goals and market demands.
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customers, to gather and define product requirements, focusing on embedded systems for inverters, batteries, PV panels, and other components.
- Feature Definition: Develop detailed product feature specifications for embedded systems, ensuring seamless integration of hardware components like DC optimizers, smart panels, and home automation devices.
- Project Management: Lead agile product development teams, manage backlogs, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your expertise in inverters, battery systems, PV panels, and EV chargers to provide guidance on product development, design, and testing.
- Embedded Systems Coordination: Work with engineering teams to develop and refine embedded software and hardware integration, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance of all system components.
- Market Analysis and User Feedback: Conduct market research and gather user feedback to continuously improve product offerings and ensure alignment with industry trends and customer needs.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and development teams, effectively communicating product vision, strategy, and progress.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all products adhere to relevant industry standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements for solar, battery storage, and energy management systems.

Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Renewable Energy, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in the solar and energy storage industry.
- Proven track record of working with embedded systems for inverters, batteries, PV panels, EV chargers, DC optimizers, smart panels, and home automation.
- Strong understanding of solar and battery technologies, including inverters, DC optimizers, and energy management systems.
- Familiarity with embedded software and hardware integration, IoT, and communication protocols used in smart energy systems.
- Experience working with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Product Owner certifications (CSPO, SAFe, or equivalent) and relevant industry certifications in solar and energy management are a plus.
