Our client, a leading global provider of mobility solutions, is seeking an Independent Project Manager to join the team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end, ensuring timely and quality delivery while handling multiple projects simultaneously. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, effective stakeholder management, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Track projects independently from start to finish, ensuring tasks are on track and providing early warning notifications if any tasks are at risk of delay.
Define project roles and responsibilities (RnR) and create a RACI matrix.
Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, proposing solutions to overcome challenges.
Develop, maintain, execute, and communicate project documentation, including schedules, risk registers, issue logs, and action logs.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed on time.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, driving progress with internal and external stakeholders.
Resolve conflicts between teams while maintaining focus on project interests.
Enforce adherence to processes by internal and external parties, proposing process improvements as necessary.
Communicate risks and escalations promptly to relevant stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
Prepare and present periodic and ad hoc reports to management, defining plans, problems, and resolutions.
Plan and coordinate resource allocation to meet customer SLAs.
Work effectively with a diverse team across various time zones, understanding and anticipating their needs and challenges.
Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners to ensure efficient project management.
Attend weekly organized calls/meetings with specific operations companies and groups.
Regularly update project management tools with accurate project status to avoid ambiguity.
Continuously follow up on project progress, risks, issues, and opportunities with internal and external teams.
Deliver under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Support project go-lives as per business needs and track post-go-live issues to resolution.
Skills Required
Excellent knowledge and practical experience in project management methodologies.
Good understanding of mobile money and/or banking technologies.
Basic knowledge of tech stack including Java, Unix, databases, APIs, security, etc.
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage customer expectations effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Project and Excel.
Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
Ability to travel on short notice.
Experience in managing and mentoring a team.
Agile and SAFe knowledge is a plus.
Educational Qualification:
BE / B Tech / MCA / BCA / MTech
Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, Google Project Manager, etc.)
Experience:
6 to 8 years in a Project Management role with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
