Our client, a leading Indian Conglomerate, is looking to engage with a Software Reliability Engineer.
This role is to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, combined with operational experience, to help build and run large-scale, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.
Ultimately, the consultant will ensure that all our applications are given automated production support wherever possible and thrive to have engineering culture in support organization.
Key Deliverables-
1. System Design - Collaborate with development teams to design systems that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
2. Monitoring and Alerting - Implement and manage monitoring tools and automated alerting systems to proactively detect and resolve issues.
3. Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-mortem analyses, and implement improvements to prevent recurrence.
4. Performance Tuning - Analyze system performance and work on optimizing it to meet SLAs and improve user experience.
5. Automation - Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to manage infrastructure, deployments, and operational tasks.
6. Capacity Planning - Conduct capacity planning and performance forecasting to ensure systems can handle future growth.
7. Documentation:** Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture, processes, and incident response procedures.
8. Collaboration - Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.

Skills Required
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in software reliability, DevOps, or a related role and total not more than 12 years of experience in IT.
Technical Skills -
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Expertise in monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
Soft Skills -
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
