Assignment Details

Our client, a global leader in energy management and automation is seeking a skilled Accounting and Finance Specialist to oversee various financial functions, including accounting, auditing, taxation, and financial forecasting. This role will drive profitable growth through effective budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, supporting both business and central teams. The successful candidate will prepare monthly financial reports (MIS), handle month-end closing tasks, and review GTM schemes with analytical insights.
Key Responsibilities:
 

  1. Accounting & Auditing
    • Oversee general accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and integrity in financial reporting.
    • Prepare month-end provisions and markups, ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing.
  2. Taxation
    • Manage tax compliance and reporting requirements.
    • Assist in preparing tax provisions and ensuring adherence to tax laws.
  3. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis
    • Lead budgeting and rolling forecasting processes, coordinating with both business and central teams.
    • Develop and implement financial models to support forecasting and budgeting activities.
    • Analyze key financial data to identify trends and recommend profitable growth strategies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall financial goals.
  4. Management Information Systems (MIS) Reporting
    • Prepare monthly MIS reports, ensuring accuracy and insights for decision-making.
    • Analyze actual vs. forecasted performance, identifying areas of improvement and reporting on variances.
  5. Month-End Closing
    • Perform month-end closing tasks, including provisions, markups, and final adjustments.
    • Ensure all entries and financial records are accurately maintained in line with the closing schedule.
  6. Go-To-Market (GTM) Scheme Review and Analysis
    • Assist in issuing and reviewing GTM schemes.
    • Conduct analysis on scheme performance, providing actionable insights to optimize ROI.

Skills Required

Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and industry.
  • CA finalist or experience of 2-3 years post CA completion is preferred
  • Proven experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, forecasting, and taxation.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
