In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps to set up your account on Flexing It and get started on your freelance journey.
Step 1: Visit the Flexing It Website
Visit Flexing It through your browser.
Once there, you’ll find the Join as Talent button at the top right corner of the homepage.
Step 2: Choose Your Account Type
You’ll be prompted to choose between two account types:
- Consultant/Freelancer: Select this if you want to offer your services for freelance or consulting opportunities.
- Company: Choose this if you're a business seeking to hire consultants or freelancers for short- or long-term projects.

Step 3: Enter Your Basic Information
After selecting your account type, you must fill out a basic sign-up form. For freelancers, the information required includes:
- Full Name: Your official name, which will appear on your profile.
- Email Address: Ensure this is a professional email, as it will be used for communication with potential clients.
Enter your additional details after you have signed up to complete your account creation process as
- Password: Choose a strong password to keep your account secure.
- Phone Number: Share your phone number
- Location: Mention your location as it may help match you with region-specific opportunities.
Step 4: Verify Your Email
Once you’ve filled in your information and submitted the form, Flexing It will send an OTP to the address you provided. Please enter the OTP in the specified section. This step verifies your email & account.
Step 5: Set Up Your Profile
Now that your account is verified, it’s time to make your profile stand out. For consultants, your profile is essentially your resume, so make it detailed and professional. Include the following key sections:
Professional Summary: Give a brief overview of your career and expertise.
Skills & Expertise: List the skills you excel at, such as project management, marketing, or finance. Be specific to attract the right clients.
Experience & Portfolio: Add your past roles, projects, and key achievements. Use numbers to demonstrate the impact you’ve made in your previous projects.
Education & Certifications: Mention any degrees or certifications that back up your expertise.
Step 6: Explore the Platform
Take your time to familiarise yourself with the dashboard and discover the array of options and filters to refine your searches.
Step 7: Apply or Post Your First Project
Enter keywords related to your expertise in the Search section to find exciting opportunities.
Hit Apply to projects that are interesting to you, and your application will be shared with the client.
